Mihai Grecu is a Romanian visual artist and filmmaker, a graduate of Le Fresnoy, living and working in Paris.

Situated at the intersection of experimental cinema, artificial intelligence and computer-generated imagery, his practice explores the age of post-truth, synthetic nature and political imaginaries. Through allegory and the recontextualization of propaganda images, he creates dreamlike visions that question the authority and reliability of images.

Winner of the French Union of Film Critics Award, his films and artworks have been presented and awarded at major international festivals (Rotterdam, Montreal, Clermont-Ferrand, Videobrasil) and exhibited in leading institutions and exhibitions (Grand Palais, Cube, Ars Electronica, Videoformes, among others).
